A kitchen needs two kinds of light. A clear light above the island, the table or the worktop, to chop and read a recipe. And a softer light for the rest of the room in the evening. Our kitchen pendant lights do the first job, usually in twos or threes.

Lighting a kitchen well

A kitchen needs two kinds of light. A clear light above the island, the table or the worktop, to chop and read a recipe. And a softer light for the rest of the room in the evening. Our kitchen pendant lights do the first job, usually in twos or threes.

Ribbed glass, easy to live with

Clear ribbed glass lets plenty of light through and cleans with a quick wipe. CHAMEY and CHAVANE are our best-selling ribbed glass pendants. CHALLE comes in a small and a large size, while ADLEY, CHAMBRET and ELUAN play with other shapes. For a long island, CHAMIX holds three globes on a single bar and BOSCA holds four.

Coloured glass and ceramic

For a brighter kitchen, our glass pendant lights bring a retro touch. PÉTALE is in moulded, painted glass, NEPI, LIGO and FOZA in coloured glass. Ceramic sends the light downwards, where you work. PRAYA, BABOUCHKA, CLARIS and NANNY have a matching twisted fabric cord. BABOUCHKA also comes with three lights. NANNY and BABOUCHKA are also available as wall lights, to hang above the worktop.

How high?

Above an island or a table, allow 60 to 75 cm between the bottom of the pendant and the top. On an island longer than 1.50 m, two or three smaller pendants give better light than one large one. Space them 60 to 80 cm apart. Over the worktop, a neutral white bulb helps you see colours properly. See our bulbs.
